Everyone wants healthy glowing skin. We can try all the fancy and expensive creams and washes we want, but the bottom line is it comes from what we put in our bodies. What we eat shows in our skin. So if you are eating a large amount of sweets and fried foods your skin will suffer. One key to great skin is always making sure you are drinking water. Juices and sodas are filled with sugar that can affect your skin. Increase your water intake.  There are also several vegetables that are good for your skin.

Carrots: Carrots are high in beta carotene. They help to  give your skin a glow, fight wrinkles and improve your skin.

Spinach: Packed with antioxidants,helps strengthen skin tissue and contains an anti- inflammatory that will flush out toxins.

Tomatoes:  Tomatoes contain an antioxidant called lycopene which has anti-ageing properties and also acts a sunscreen from within. The pulp from the tomato helps tighten pores and prevent breakouts.

The best way to know the exact ingredients in your smoothie is to make them yourself. They are very easy to make. All you need is a blender, fruit and a base, such as water, milk, fruit juice. Making your own smoothies can help provide benefits that will keep you on the right path towards good health.Drinking fruit smoothies can also help you reach the recommended intake of fiber.The soluble fiber found in fruit helps with slow digestion and is also proven to help control blood sugar and lower cholesterol.

Healing Green Smoothie

Remember as a child when your mother would make you sit at the table until you finished your green vegetables? Sure we all thought it was torture at the time but she had a good reason in doing so. Incorporating green vegetables into your daily meals is not only beneficial but also important. They have a high nutritional value. There are several green vegetables you can add to your diet. Below is a list of a few.

Try this easy and delicious Kale salad:

Bag of raw kale ( any brand)

Zesty Italian Dressing (any brand)

2 Cloves of fresh Garlic ( amount may vary depending on serving size)

Cut fresh garlic in several pieces. Combine garlic in a bowl with raw kale and the Zesty Italian Dressing. Stir, Serve, and Enjoy.

We all know how important it is important to keep your body hydrated, however this is especially important in the spring and  summer. When the weather is hot and you are spending much of the day outside and  being active, it is e Every single cell  and organ in the your body needs water to function properly. A lack of water can affect the body immensely. Water helps the body in several ways.  One of the main things it does is help with proper digestion. It also aids in getting rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements. It keeps the body temperature normal. Water also helps to lubricate and cushion your joints. A lot of people don’t drink water because they say it has no taste and they need flavor, therefore they drink juices and sodas. That is just a myth because there are may ways to add flavor to water.
